Dimar Limited has recently received a number of enquiries from European manufacturers of photovoltaic cells housed in silver etched anodised aluminium alloy frames. Dimar offers complete manufacturing solution for the aluminium frames housing solar cells for both commercial and consumer applications.

In addition to extrusions,Dimar has a comprehensive anodisation facility at our European manufacturing plant and can also offer a comprehensive range of prepping options including drilling, milling, routering, punching and bending where required.

Although aluminium does not rust in the same fashion as steel, mill finished aluminium which is left exposed to the elements may suffer from mild corrosion, particularly if left exposed to the elements for many years. Dimar therefore is able to offer prices incorporating anodisation either before or after the prepping process - where it occurs after prepping, all exposed surfaces from cutting and drilling processes are therefore protected by an anodised finish, creating a more weather-resistant finish for the aluminium profile. This is particularly suitable for frames designed for photovoltaic cells.
